After tragedy strikes his team, college basketball coach Lucca Romano arrives in the haven of Eternity Springs to reassess his life. Even a winning record and big offers can’t dent the wall of guilt that Lucca has built around himself. Nothing can—except maybe a vibrant new neighbor who won’t give up on him.

Hope understands Lucca’s suffering; she lives it herself every day. However, the high school team needs his coaching expertise, so she sets out to draw him from his cold, solitary shell and into the warmth of life in their small Rocky Mountain town. Gladie Burger tells R@R about matchmaking, murder and melting romance!
Certain to appeal to fans of Janet Evanovich, Jennifer Crusie, and Katie MacAlister, Elise Sax’s hilarious series debut introduces matchmaker-in-training Gladie Burger, who stumbles into a dangerous quagmire of murder and red-hot romance.
Three months has been Gladie Burger’s limit when it comes to staying in one place. That’s why Gladie is more than a little skeptical when her eccentric Grandma Zelda recruits her to the family’s matchmaking business in the quaint small town of Cannes, California. What’s more, Gladie is also highly unqualified, having a terrible track record with romance. Still, Zelda is convinced that her granddaughter has “the gift.” But when the going gets tough, Gladie wonders if this gift has a return policy.
When Zelda’s neighbor drops dead in his kitchen, Gladie is swept into his bizarre family’s drama. Despite warnings from the (distractingly gorgeous) chief of police to steer clear of his investigation, Gladie is out to prove that her neighbor’s death was murder. It’s not too long before she’s in way over her head—with the hunky police chief, a dysfunctional family full of possible killers, and yet another mysterious and handsome man, whose attentions she’s unable to ignore. Gladie is clearly being pursued—either by true love or by a murderer. Who will catch her first?

Check out Fiction Vixen’s review here:
This book had me laughing. In bed, alone, hubby out-of-town, and I was sitting in my room reading An Affair to Dismember cracking up. My kids think I’m even weirder now than they did before… Anyhoo, An Affair to Dismember has been marketed to fans of Janet Evanovich and Jennifer Crusie, and I would completely agree with that strategy. It reminded me quite a bit of the Stephanie Plum series back when it was really fun to read and before I got so irritated by each book being exactly same that I stopped being interested. It was a quick, easy read full of laugh out loud moments that had me smiling until I read the last page. Then I read the preview for book two and was still smiling. Click here for more!
Book Trailer Bonanza! Pick your favorite & you may pick the winner . . .
Wikipedia defines book trailers as this:
A book trailer is a video advertisement for a book which employs techniques similar to those of movie trailers to promote books and encourage readers. These trailers can also be referred to as “video-podcasts”, with higher quality trailers being called “cinematic book trailers”. They are circulated on television and online in most common digital video formats. Book trailers can be comprised, of but not limited to, actors performing scenes from the book akin to a movie trailer, full production trailers, flash videos, animation or simple still photos set to music with text conveying the story. This differs from author readings and interviews, which consist of video footage of the author narrating a portion of their writing or being interviewed. Early book trailers consisted mostly of still images of the book, with some videos incorporating actors, with John Farris’s book trailer for his 1986 novel Wildwood incorporating images from the book cover along with actors such as John Zacherle.
I define them as fun! Read more

Darker After Midnight by Lara Adrian, FREE Excerpt!
The climactic novel in Lara Adrian’s New York Times bestselling Midnight Breed series—and her hardcover debut—Darker After Midnight invites readers to enter a thrillingly sensual world where danger meets desire.
In the dark of night, a blood war escalates within the hidden world of the Breed. After existing in secret for many long centuries, maintaining a fragile peace with the humans who walk beside them unaware, a single act of retaliation has put the entire vampire nation at risk of discovery. It falls to the Order—a cadre of Breed warriors pledged to protect their own and humankind alike—to stop Dragos, the power-mad vampire at the center of the conflict, before his push for domination can explode into catastrophe.
At the center of the Order’s quest is Sterling Chase, once a morally rigid enforcer of Breed law, now a warrior fallen from grace, whose biggest battle is the one he wages against his own savage nature. With addiction beckoning him toward eternal darkness, Chase’s path to redemption has never seemed more out of reach. But when his eyes meet those of Tavia Fairchild, a beautiful witness who identifies him at the scene of a mission gone terribly wrong, Chase finds himself drawn to the woman—and convinced she is something much more than she seems.
Pulled into a vortex of intrigue and danger she can neither resist nor understand, Tavia is uncertain whom to trust. And while everything sane and logical warns her against getting close to Chase, she cannot deny that the handsome, deeply haunted male stirs something primal and ravenous within her. But even as she surrenders to her cravings, nothing can prepare her for the shattering truth of who—and what—she truly is.
As the Order’s enemy mobilizes for the battle of the ages, Dragos and his Minions unleashing a hell on Earth like nothing ever seen before, Chase and Tavia are thrust into the heart of the violence. With time running out and the streets running red with the blood of innocent lives, both Breed and human, together Chase and Tavia must find a way to defeat Dragos once and for all—or die trying.

A Lady Awakened by Cecilia Grant – debut! + Weekly Giveaway!
In Cecilia Grant’s emotionally rich and deeply passionate Regency romance debut, a deal with a rumored rogue turns a proper young woman into . . . A Lady Awakened.
Newly widowed and desperate to protect her estate and beloved servants from her malevolent brother-in-law, Martha Russell conceives a daring plan. Or rather, a daring plan to conceive. After all, if she has an heir on the way, her future will be secured. Forsaking all she knows of propriety, Martha approaches her neighbor, a London exile with a wicked reputation, and offers a strictly business proposition: a month of illicit interludes . . . for a fee.
Theophilus Mirkwood ought to be insulted. Should be appalled. But how can he resist this siren in widow’s weeds, whose offer is simply too outrageously tempting to decline? Determined she’ll get her money’s worth, Theo endeavors to awaken this shamefully neglected beauty to the pleasures of the flesh—only to find her dead set against taking any enjoyment in the scandalous bargain. Surely she can’t resist him forever. But could a lady’s sweet surrender open their hearts to the most unexpected arrival of all . . . love?
Here’s wait readers are saying:
Early quotes from Amazon include:
A Lady Awakened had a hard time to keep me interested, where was the romance? I tell you, it had its shining moments unders pages and pages of business talk. Don’t get me wrong, I loved all the scenes between the main couple, terrific caracters! The dialogue between them is what kept me reading till the end!
The story had a lot of potential but the pacing and the over descriptive scenes. I enjoyed the romance and the characters, but the story that really brought them together would attract historical fiction readers more than historical romance fans.
I will read other works by Cecilia Grant especially if it has a stunning cover like this one!
Rating: 3 stars out of 5 Nat at
A Lady Awakened plays on the love-hate relationship trope. At the beginning Theo and Martha are worlds apart in temperament. Martha is severe and serious and studious. She is passionate about bringing education to her tenant’s children. Theo is a dandy who arrogantly believes he is God’s gift to women. Each has something to learn from the other.Read more of Good Books & Wine’s review here
More from Joyfully Reviewed The premise of A Lady Awakened really intrigued me. I was interested in the plight of a woman desperate enough to get pregnant that she would hire a man to help her.
I received an ARC of A Lady Awakened by Cecilia Grant from Amazon Vine. This is Grant’s first book and it is a keeper. For starters it is full of humor. I was laughing out loud throughout the first part of the book. more from Mixed Book Bag Reviews

Explosive Eighteen on sale now:
Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum’s life is set to blow sky high when international murder hits dangerously close to home, in this dynamite novel by Janet Evanovich.
Before Stephanie can even step foot off Flight 127 Hawaii to Newark, she’s knee deep in trouble. Her dream vacation turned into a nightmare, and she’s flying back to New Jersey solo. Worse still, her seatmate never returned to the plane after the L.A. layover. Now he’s dead, in a garbage can, waiting for curbside pickup. His killer could be anyone. And a ragtag collection of thugs and psychos, not to mention the FBI, are all looking for a photograph the dead man was supposed to be carrying.
Only one other person has seen the missing photo—Stephanie Plum. Now she’s the target, and she doesn’t intend to end up in a garbage can. With the help of an FBI sketch artist Stephanie re-creates the person in the photo. Unfortunately the first sketch turns out to look like Tom Cruise, and the second sketch like Ashton Kutcher. Until Stephanie can improve her descriptive skills, she’ll need to watch her back.
Over at the bail bonds agency things are going from bad to worse. The bonds bus serving as Vinnie’s temporary HQ goes up in smoke. Stephanie’s wheelman, Lula, falls in love with their largest skip yet. Lifetime arch nemesis Joyce Barnhardt moves into Stephanie’s apartment. And everyone wants to know what happened in Hawaii?
Morelli, Trenton’s hottest cop, isn’t talking about Hawaii. Ranger, the man of mystery, isn’t talking about Hawaii. And all Stephanie is willing to say about her Hawaiian vacation is . . . It’s complicated.

Stefanie Sloane ‘Dances’ & Promotes Her Regency Rogues Series
Paranormal romance . . . the visual *wow* + Giveaway!
Today we are viewing paranormal trailers — what do you think, do they intrigue you? are you ready to run out & buy these books?
Readers love Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters (I do too) — here is one of her many DH trailers, what do you think?
What about the Brotherhood, JR Ward’s ever popular series — does this trailer relate to you?
Well, we might as well hit the big 3, right? Christine has many trailers to be found on youtube, instead of another vampire video I chose WATERBOUND from her Sea Haven series:
Do you think this gives you the insight you need to decide if this is a book or series for you?
Ok, just one more to round out the biggest & brightest in paranormal romance — I have to say, I kind of like the more direct to the point types of videos like SHADOWFEVER by Karen Marie Moning . . . . my cranky laptop seems to like it too:
Bottom line — I’m going to buy paranormal no matter what, so I’m probably one of those readers that doesn’t need a book trailer at all — SORRY! That’s just me
What about you — thoughts on the above? Romance at Random wants to know — & remember, 5 randomly chosen commenter’s thru out the week will be eligible to win a FREE book so comment away & good luck!

COMING HOME by Mariah Stewart
I’ve always loved Mariah’s suspense stories, but when she decided to write small town contemporaries she made my heart sing! This trailer is pure romance — I’m so moved by this video that I’m totally all over buying this book? You? Does it affect you the same way?
& some really knock your socks off like Lori’s — you just want to know, what these heroes are all about, yes?
By viewing this trailer, you know the series includes three hotties, that are involved in something mysterious, with adventure . . . maybe they are undercover agents & so forth. The visual definitely makes you think about the series & what the author is conveying to you — for me, it makes me all the more excited to read Lori’s books.
Some books lend themselves to trailers better than others. Linda Lael Miller’s Western series also entices the reader to give her books a try, don’t you think?
Wow — this trailer make me want to move West! Go West young man . . . woman & child !!
What other book trailers have you found to be affective in helping you to decide whether to buy a book or its series?
Remember, 5 randomly chosen commenter’s thru out the week will be eligible to win a FREE book — Winners posted Sunday’s — good luck! SueG
