Watch the trailer for MIRACLE ROAD by Emily March, on sale today!
You’re seeing it here first: Below you’ll find the trailer for MIRACLE ROAD, Emily March’s latest novel set in the endearing town of Eternity Springs.
After tragedy strikes his team, college basketball coach Lucca Romano arrives in the haven of Eternity Springs to reassess his life. Even a winning record and big offers can’t dent the wall of guilt that Lucca has built around himself. Nothing can—except maybe a vibrant new neighbor who won’t give up on him.
Schoolteacher Hope Montgomery believes in miracles. She has to believe—because giving up would mean crumbling under the greatest loss a parent can endure. Hope understands Lucca’s suffering; she lives it herself every day. However, the high school team needs his coaching expertise, so she sets out to draw him from his cold, solitary shell and into the warmth of life in their small Rocky Mountain town. But when a weak moment leads to consequences that shake Hope’s faith, it’s up to Lucca to put aside his heartache and show the teacher that here in Eternity Springs broken hearts can heal—just in time for Christmas.

Book Review: Wild Child by Molly O’Keefe – Review By Toni Linenberger
Brittle: that’s the best word I can use to describe Molly O’Keefe’s Wild Child. Unfortunately that word doesn’t begin to illustrate the mastery of language necessary to create such vivid images and characters. The hero and heroine are brittle, fragile pieces of blown glass; a wrong word, look, or touch will send them shattering into thousands of pieces beyond repair. This book is so much more than the back cover copy indicates. Read more

ON sale now – Ivy Secrets by Jean Stone is a dramatic, suspenseful novel that weaves together the lives of three young women with a closely guarded secret that puts a teenage girl in jeopardy. Here’s what The Examiner had to say – enjoy!!
Sometimes book reviews zero-in on one aspect of a book which is most prominent to the reader. Ivy Secrets by Jean Stone is one book in which the reader can do just that.
Ivy Secrets by Jean Stone is about three women who met at a New England college and are from different backgrounds; Charlie – the poor girl from the other side of the tracks, Tess – the artist with an inferiority complex, and Marina – the beautiful princess from the small country of Novokia who wishes for an ordinary life. The book follows these three friends who during college and into their adult lives kept a closely guarded secret. However, fifteen years later they reunite as the truth behind their secret began to unravel. Read more

So, there’s a scene in Wild Child that has already gotten some attention from reviewers for it’s heat. So, for this #wildwednesday I give you the lead up to the THE BATHTUB SCENE… Jackson and Monica have had a big heart to heart and Monica had explained some of her baggage to him, all of her reasons for not being able to be in any kind of relationship with him and he responds by drawing her a bath. Magical realism with Allen authors
Sarah Addison Allen author of Garden Spells, The Peach Keeeper, and The Girl Who Chased the Moon interviews Lisa van Allen about the elements of magic in her new book The Wishing Thread, on sale today.
Sarah Addison Allen: The Wishing Thread is a delightful novel about the bonds of sisterhood, the transformational power of love, and the pleasures and perils of knitting. What sparked your idea for this novel?
Lisa Van Allen: It started with the knitting. When I knit a gift for someone, I always say a few prayers for the recipient. It’s about sending deliberate thoughts of love and kindness, along with offering a gift. So it wasn’t a far jump from there to “Wouldn’t it be cool if somebody could knit a magic spell into the fabric of a hat or a scarf so that it rubs off on the wearer?”
Of course, in The Wishing Thread, the people who go to the Stitchery looking for magic never know what they’ll get. Sometimes the spells don’t work as expected. Sometimes they don’t work at all. Read more

New Release – True Love by Jude Deveraux
Set against the backdrop of the most beautiful Nantucket island, the reader is both immersed in the geography, and the lives of those lucky enough to call themselves Nantucketers. Finding love in this remarkable setting with people who prove themselves to be true kindred spirits make TRUE LOVE a remarkable and memorable read that will leave most folks with a marvelous sense of contentment.
Marilyn Rondeau – Reviewer
Jude Deveraux, the New York Times bestselling author of unforgettable romance, returns with a breathtaking first book in a fantastic new series—the Nantucket Brides trilogy. Set on the magical Massachusetts island, True Love introduces characters from a new generation of Montgomery-Taggerts, the beloved family from Deveraux’s classic novels.
Just as Alix Madsen is finishing up architectural school, Adelaide Kingsley dies and wills her, for one year, the use of a charming nineteenth-century Nantucket house. The elderly woman’s relationship to the Madsen family is a mystery to the spirited Alix—fresh from a romantic breakup—but for reasons of her own Alix accepts the quirky bequest, in part because it gives her time to plan her best friend’s storybook wedding.
But unseen forces move behind the scenes, creaking Kingsley House’s ancient floorboards. It seems that Adelaide Kingsley had a rather specific task for Alix: to solve the strange disappearance of one of the Kingsley women,
Valentina, more than two hundred years ago. If that wasn’t troubling enough, Alix must deal with the arrogant (and extremely good-looking) architect Jared Montgomery, who is living in the property’s guesthouse. Read more
History Can Be Sexy, too. Or Why I Write About Women of Power + 2 book #Giveaway!
These days, history has become the new reality show. From the blood-soaked antics of the Borgias to the bed-hopping of the Tudors and dervish intrigues of Leonardo da Vinci and the Medici, history – in particular, my favorite era, the Renaissance— has come out of the closet and stepped onto center stage. Divested of its dusty shrouds, it has even revealed a brazen, come-hither air that has audiences clamoring for more.
The truth is, history has always been sexy. We just tend to forget it. Somewhere between grade school and graduation, we’ve been taught to memorize important dates and events, but the people who actually lived those facts are nebulous shadows whose names we sometimes can recall but not much else. And of these names, the ones we tend to remember are men. You know the usual suspects: Napoleon, Henry VIII, Richard III, Cesar, etc.
Nevertheless, history is also full of fascinating, extraordinary women who happen to be quite sexy.
A Life List with A Life Lesson: Lori Nelson Spielman on Finding “Mr. Perfect”
It’s no secret: The idea for my novel, The Life List, was sparked by an abandoned life list I’d written when I was a teen. But what most people don’t know is that I also wrote another list, eight years later, when I was 22. Cheerleading and good grades didn’t make the cut this time around. Instead, I’d written 18 serious goals, things I hoped to carry with me for the rest of my life. Read more

Elise Sax: Romance is Real
Elise Sax, author of An Affair to Dismember, shares with us her real life love story.
Romance writers get this a lot: “Why don’t you write real books?”
Love and happy endings don’t get a lot of respect in some circles. So I tell these nonbelievers that romance is serious business. “Don’t trifle with romance!” I tell them, wagging my finger to show them how serious romance is.
Let me tell you, romance is real. Romance happens. I have proof.

“Bonnet Fiction” We Love
I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been seeing “Amish” everywhere. Between the Amish hair-cutting attacks, and the new TLC mini-series Breaking Amish, the Christian Mennonite subgroup has been all over the media. Mainstream society seems to be fascinated. Similarly, in the romance world, Amish romance as a genre has been on the rise for a few years now, with no sign of stopping. Affectionately, we’ve dubbed it “Bonnet Fiction”.
What happened to my sister? – this story will move you.
“A storytelling triumph about the meaning of family — ultimately a wondrously uplifting tale of hope and redemption starring a main character who is quite simply unforgettable.” – Bookreporter.com

Romance Author Recommends: Summer Reading Picks from Mariah Stewart
Summer and reading go together like, well, like peas and carrots as Forrest Gump – one of my favorite guys – would say. Sitting on the beach or poolside with a great book in summer is the seasonal equivalent of curling up in a cozy chair in front of a fire with a great book in winter. There’s something about relaxing on a lounge, under the shade of a tree or umbrella, feet up, cool iced drink in one hand and a book (or e-reader) in the other that says vacation to me, even if I’m in my own back yard and I only have a few hours to spare.
So while I’m hard at work on my next novel, iced coffee on my right and printed pages from yesterday’s completed chapter on my left, I’m thinking about all the summer reading I’ve got stashed away for when I finally finish the book I’m working on.
Here’s what’s in my pile:
