Guest Post: The Trouble with Love Triangles by Marquita Valentine + $50 EGC Giveaway!
Love Triangles, Trapezoids, or Squares? Okay, all kidding and geometric shapes aside, many a successful book has been blessed or plagued with love triangles—Bella, Edward , and Jacob anyone?
When done right, a true love triangle can up the stakes and have me biting my nails over who the heroine (and sometimes the hero) should be with. Just when I’m all Team Hero 1, then Hero 2 does something so sweet that I forget Hero 1’s name. *grins*
In ONLY FOR YOU, I have a one-sided love triangle. Bear with me, because I’m bad a math but good at ‘splaining. In ONLY FOR YOU, the heroine, Violet Rae has a no-good, cheating ex-boyfriend, who wants to get her back, and he intends to prove himself to her.
Only Violet Rae wants nothing to do with him. At all. Not even a thought of being with him. She wants to be with the guy who just broke up with her. So everyone wants to be with the one person that either doesn’t want them or wants them to believe that they don’t want them.
Got it? LOL! Maybe you’ll just have to read ONLY FOR YOU to find out! In any case, the love triangle, if I can even call it such a thing, exists for one person only. Too bad for him that he doesn’t know it.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF LOVE TRIANGLES-REAL OR IMAGINED?
Loose ends left loose for too long tend to strangle.
Cole and Violet knew it wouldn’t be easy. They knew their relationship would take work. But when the press finds out about Violet Lynn’s newest boyfriend, they start digging. And when his past come to light, exposing all of his family’s secrets, their relationship begins to fray.
Country Music’s Golden Boy, Jaxon Hunter, has it all, except the girl that got away. What she saw, she really didn’t. What she thought happened, he allowed her to believe for reasons so insane that no one would ever have believed him if he had confessed. But now that everything’s out in the open, he’s going to do his damndest to convince her that he’s the only one for her.
Now Violet must choose between Jaxon— her first love and the guy she thought had cheated on her—and Cole—the guy who helped her heal and love again.
Or will one of them make the decision for her?
