How Sharon Cullen #Loveswept author deals with the Polar Vortex
The holidays are over and, for me at least, the dark days of winter are here. That Polar Vortex thing? I’m so over it. Not to complain or anything, but geez Mother Nature, could you give us a break?
My kids have been off school. A lot. Let me repeat that. A. LOT. Even my college kid has had her classes canceled. Call me old, but when I was in college you went to class come hell or high water. Or freezing temperatures.
But. Okay. Whatever.
The thing is, they’re bored. They need to go back to school. And more than just a few days at a time, please and thank you.
I mean, look at this picture! This is what happens in our house when the kids aren’t mentally challenged. My poor dog suffers. She has bows tied to her ears! And her tail and her legs. Her expression is all like, please help me.
So here I am sitting in southwest Ohio bracing for another round of snow and frigid temperatures. And I really, really need to be entertained.
Tell me readers. What are you doing to combat these dark winter days? Have you done anything fun? Have you read any good books? Do you have any fun and interesting stories to tell me?
