WInner Announced! #ReleaseDay for Accidental Cowgirl + $15 EGC giveaway!
So Accidental Cowgirl comes out today, and this is all kinds of awesome. It’s awesome for me because maybe now I can stop chomping my fingernails in anticipation. It’s awesome for you because you finally get to meet Decker, and this is a Very Good Thing.
Because Decker is, well, perfect is a strong word, but we’ll go with it because, well, he just is. And I’m not just saying that because I created him from scratch, I swear. He’s oh-so-hot in those jeans and that Stetson. He walks with confidence, rides with just enough swagger, loves with just enough … well … you’ll have to read to find that out. His eyes can turn a city girl into mush, and his hands?
Well, let’s just say he’s really, really good with … horses.
And in addition, the guy adores his mom. I know! Perfect!
When people first started asking me why I decided to write a book that featured cowboys, I had to pause before answering. Was the answer not obvious to everyone else? I mean – hello – cowboys. Strong but gentle hands, sun-crinkled eyes, tight, umm, abs – what’s not to love?
They’re a little bit bad-boy and whole lot gooood, right?
Plus, they live in the coolest places. Rugged mountains, grassy meadows, the endless open spaces under huge blue skies. I mean, sure, real ones probably deal with dust storms and coyotes and ornery cows once in a while, but not in my book. They’re also probably dirty and smelly and long overdue for a haircut sometimes, but not in my book. In reality, they may (gasp!) not even be hot enough to dim the Montana sunset … but not in my book.
I’m actually a little nervous because Decker’s been all mine for so long, and I don’t really know if I’m ready to let him go. I had to let my heroine actually get him in the end
Lucky for me, though, Decker’s one of many hot cowboys working at Whisper Creek these days. I guess after an appropriate period of mourning, I could maybe pop over and see what one of them is up to!
So tell me … what book-heroes have you developed a complete crush on lately?
